The prospect of a major natural gas deal between Israel and Greece is discussed in detail on "Middle East Perspective" with Efthemios Tsiliopoulas of Athens International Radio.  Yitzhak Noy of Israel Radio is a member of the panel with Jay Bushinsky of CBS Radio moderating.  They also consider the new Israeli-Greek relationship in the aftermath of the cooling of ties between Jerusalem and Ankara.  The direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority under American aspices is next on the agenda with Jamil Hamad of Time magazine participating.

The direct negotiations under way between Israel and the Palesstinian Authority are evaluated on "Middle East Perspective" by Prof. Amnon Sela of the Inter-Disciplinary Center (the university based in Herzliya) in a roundtable discussion with Jay Bushinsky of CBS Radio and Yitzhak Noy of Israel Radio as moderator.  Prof. Sela considers the conseqequences of the talks' possible failure or collapse, contending that this could leave two unfavorable alternatives: The status quo or the creation of a unitary state in which the Jewish population eventually would lose its majority status due to the Palestinian Arab population's higher birth rate.

The Hebrew version of "Middle East Perspective" can be heard in Montreal on CJRS (1650 AM) at 12:00 noon on Wednesday and the English version at 6:00 p.m.
