Has there been a deterioration in U.S.-Israel relations?  That question is raised at the start of this week's edition of "Middle East Perspective."   The analysts are Ruth Sinai, a veteran Israeli journalist, Yitzhak Noy of Israel Radio and Jamil Hamad of Time magazine.  Jay Bushinsky of CBS Radio is the moderator.  They also discuss the controversial Israeli government decision to build the emergency room of Ashkelon's hospital a quarter of a mile away from the main section of this major medical facility.  Ultra-orthodox parties in the government coalition insisted on this for religious reasons.  Finally, the upsurge in Qassam missile attacks on southern Israel by Palestinian gun crews based in the Gaza Strip is considered in view of Iran's influence on the Hamas regime there.
