"Middle East Perspective" opens with an update about the recent earthquake in Turkey and the ongoing crackdown by the ruling Islamic-oriented AKP party against the secularist army's senior officers.  Reporting on these topics is Elif Ural of CNN Turk.  The panelists -- Yitzhak Noy of Israel Radio, Shlomo Aronson of the Hebrew University and Jamil Hamad (from Bethlehem) of Time Magazine-discuss the controversy between the Obama Administration and Israel over housing projects in the former Jordanian sector of Jerusalem.
