YITZHAK NOY Print E-mail

Yitzhak Noy was born in 1942 in Moshav N'taim, a cooperative village near the Mediterranean
seacoast south of Tel Aviv.  He was graduated from the Hebrew University where he majored in
general and Jewish history.  He also earned a Ph.D at Brandeis University, Boston.
 
Noy taught history at the Tel Aviv University, Open University and Hebrew University.
 
A member of the Israel Broadcasting Authority's staff since 1966, Noy began his on-air
career as an announcer and radio actor.  He went on to become an anchor, a news
correspondent and presenter of a program that surveyed the daily and weekly press
published in Israel and abroad.  The focus was on social and international affairs as
well as science and technology.
 
Noy also is the author of 11 books and a three-act play.  His current program, known as
"Worldwide Sabbath" is broadcast Saturday mornings and deals with highlights of the
local and international press -- newspapers, weeklies and monthlies.
