Unlike other wars fought in the Middle East, Israeli authorities kept domestic and foreign journalists away from the fire.

The war was covered on the Israeli side from the Gaza-Israel border, with press, photos and visual "hand-outs" from the IDF spokesman's office. On the other side, in Gaza, Ramatan, believed owned by Hamas, filed the horreindous photos that stapled the conflict.
