Mohammed Najib, 42-year-old, Palestinian journalist based in Ramallah, West Bank. For nearly 16 years has reported on developments in the region working for leading newspapers including The Jerusalem Post, Yomiuri Shimbon, Le Monde, Special Operations Report, the Wall Street Journal, and Jane’s Information Group. His writing credits also include the ‘Global Security and Intelligence’ book published by Praeger Security International and ‘Entry-point to Palestinian Security Sector Reform’ in mid 2007 by the Geneva Center for the democratic Control of Armed Forces DCAF. After September 11th he was invited by the US Department of State to tour the US and meet the political decision makers and address lectures to various US Universities about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Najib joined "Jane’s Information Group" in April 2001 and writes for several Jane’s publications about Defense, Intelligence Strategic Affairs, Islamic Groups, Counter Terrorism, Country Risk, and Organized Crime. He has a professional degree in Written Journalism from Bir Zeit University. |
